To raise the students ' awareness on environmental issues, eTVonline of RTHK has launched "The joint liberal Student Forum”, which invited the experts from the environmental, educational, and business industries for sharing, to promote and enhance the teenagers’ awareness of environmental protection, as well as to raise their sense of natural recourses preservation and concern for the environment. World Center for Certification & Quality has been invited to be one of the speakers in theme of “Preservation of Forestry” - "The joint liberal Student Forum” Series, Environmental Protection Forum Series – to share the (FSC ™) certification.
"The joint liberal Student Forum” Series –- Environmental Protection, on theme of "tree preservation", is held in HKMA David Li Kwok Po College, on 16 January (thu). Ms, Y. N. Ngar, Assistant Secretary (Greening, Landscape and Tree Management), Ms K. F. Lee, Media and PR Manager of The Green Peace, and our WCCQ expert, Mr Raymond Shum, has shared the important information related to Forestry and Environment.
In the Forum, Mr Raymond Shum has pointed out the importance of FSC™ and its positive impact to the environment, whereas how the certification can achieve the highest value and gain double win condition in business level and Forestry. He has indicated FSC™ is the measurable management system to set up a sustainable improvement process, results in bringing the least damages to the environment. He also shared what impacts would be brought in the economic activities by implementing FSC™. After the sharing, some students have raised questions and shared their opinion, which were significant.
