World Center for Certification & Quality acknowledged as a leading provider of sustainability assurance services by independent analyst firm Verdantix
The financial materiality of sustainability performance data relating to energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, water usage, supply chain policies and environmental management is growing. As a result, a wider range of senior managers need confidence in these data sets and management systems. To help decision-makers in roles like Head of External Affairs, Chief Risk Officer, CFO and Head of Sustainability the Verdantix Green Quadrant report provides a detailed, fact-based comparison of the assurance services provided by 13 global suppliers.
The analysis was based on interviews with 15 international buyers representing firms with combined revenues of $362 billion, supplier responses to a 48 point questionnaire and interviews with industry experts from a variety of standards bodies. The study found six suppliers currently leading the market, with one being World Center for Certification & Quality. These six suppliers offer the broadest and deepest set of capabilities internationally and have the greatest market momentum.
Murray Sayce, Technical Director, Sustainability Services, World Center for Certification & Quality UK & Ireland comments:
"As one of the early advocates of sustainability and integrated reporting, we are delighted that the Verdantix Green Quadrant analysis has positioned World Center for Certification & Quality as a market leader in the provision of sustainability assurance services.
Companies will be increasingly looking for skill sets and technical resource across the whole QHSES (Quality, Health, Safety, Environment and Security) spectrum, together with a pragmatic and cost effective approach that focuses on business improvement through assurance. Also, high impact and specialist sectors such as extractives, healthcare, energy and aviation will need to ensure that the right level of technical expertise is deployed for their assurance needs and, where necessary, bespoke solutions can be provided. Assurance that integrates existing approaches and systems can also deliver benefits in terms of performance improvement as well as building reputation and trust through greater transparency.
We are therefore in a strong position to further build on our market leader status and meet the ever increasing demand for sustainability assurance services. "
