At the beginning of 2011, World Center for Certification & Quality Certification has renewed the frame contract with UNIFE for next 5 years. UNIFE is the organization that issued IRIS (International Railway Industry Standard). Based on ISO 9001, IRIS (International Railway Industry Standard) is the international sector scheme standard officially recognized by the railway industry for management system assessment.
World Center for Certification & Quality Certification is one of the first certification bodies that approved by UNIFE and IRIS Steering Committee, as well as widely shared by Bombardier, Alstom, Siemens etc. What’s more, World Center for Certification & Quality Certification cooperated with those railway industry giants for implementing IRIS standard for domestic railway sectors.
Currently, 543 IRIS certificates had been issued all over the word, among which World Center for Certification & Quality with a market share of over 27%. Even so, this standard was mainly applied in Europe.
