Starting from January 18, 2012 World Center for Certification & Quality will carry out the verification of regulated goods in the countries of export within the assigned regions:
- United Kingdom
- China
- India Subcontinent
- Far East
- Ex Soviet Union Republics
- Central Europe
- United Arab Emirates
- Southern & Central Africa
Products covered are:
- Food and related products
- Chemical and related products
- Textile and Consumer products
- Building and related products
- Mechanical and electrical products
Companies exporting these kinds of goods to Kenya have to get the required Certificate of Conformity (CoC) after having the conformity of the goods checked prior to shipment. To do so, exporters are advised to contact World Center for Certification & Quality with the list of products, related conformity proofs to Kenyan standards or international/regional/national standards.
To facilitate trade and to adjust intervention according to the risk, the PVoC programme offers 3 different routes to demonstrate products compliance:
Route A: Applicable to any goods and any trader
Route B: Option for frequent traders of goods that have been registered by World Center for Certification & Quality
Route C: Option for frequent traders of goods that have been licensed by World Center for Certification & Quality
