Description
This workshop is to provide students with an overview of the purpose and concept of 5S. 5S is origin from Japan, which stands for Japanese words Seiri, Sieton, Seiso, Seiketsu, Shitsuke. It is a structured programme for achieving total organization, cleanliness and standardization in the company.
It is a management tool for company to organize and control the operation so to facilitate tidy, safe and efficiency work. It is an introduction to anyone who need to maintain the operation place to be tidy, safe, efficiency and productive.
Learning Objectives
By the end of the course students will be able to:
- Understand and explain the purpose and concept of 5S
- Know how to plan, implement and maintain the 5S in place
- It is a practical workshop that has role play to make trainee easily understand the concept of 5S.

- Introduction to the concept of 5S, its basic concepts, and terminology.
- Introduction to the benefits that may be achieved through implementation of 5S.
- Effective approach to the implement 5
- 5S in trainee’s workplace
- Exercises.
